Professor Rakesh Veedu

Founder and Chief Technology Officer

An internationally recognised expert in DNA and RNA chemistry, oligonucleotide therapeutics and nucleic acid modification, and the founder of Syngenis. He is Professor and Head of the Precision Nucleic Acid Therapeutics Group within Murdoch University's Personalised Medicine Centre and the Perron Institute for Neurological and Translational Science. With more than two decades of experience across state of the art synthesis facilities and long term research programs, over 115 peer reviewed papers, a specialist scientific text and multiple patents, his work spans antisense oligonucleotides, RNA therapeutics, chemical modification and delivery, across neurology, oncology and metabolic disease. He is also co founder and director of ProGenis Pharmaceuticals. He provides deep scientific and technical leadership across manufacturing, discovery and therapeutic strategy.

Dr Martin Blake

Chairperson

A practising radiologist and experienced healthcare executive with a strong background in medical technology, diagnostics and governance. Chair of the WA National Imaging Facility Advisory Board and until recently Chairman of Resonance Health (ASX:RHT), with board experience across mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and the scaling of technology enabled healthcare businesses. His clinical background gives practical insight into how diagnostic technologies are adopted, validated and used in real healthcare settings, and he brings strong governance discipline to the board.

Thomas Hanly

Managing Director

A biotechnology executive experienced in forming and scaling science led businesses across diagnostics and life sciences. A founding director of Nexsen (ASX:NXN) and the inaugural Managing Director of Singular Health Group (ASX:SHG), he has structured collaboration and licence agreements, progressed early research into commercial technologies, and secured up to approximately 7 million dollars in non dilutive funding for early stage technology. He is responsible for executing the company's strategy across infrastructure, development pathways, commercial partnerships and public market readiness.

Gavin Ball

Executive Director

An experienced business executive and director with more than thirty years in company formation, governance, growth strategy and operational management across ASX listed and private companies, including RLF AgTech (ASX:RLF), a founding board role at McLaren Minerals (ASX:MML), and a founding directorship of Nexsen (ASX:NXN). He provides practical commercial oversight, ASX governance experience and an execution focused perspective as the company scales.

Leads DNA and RNA production and laboratory operations across research grade and GMP aligned environments, overseeing the technical capability at the heart of the manufacturing pillar.

Dr Sudhir Agrawal

Advisory Board Chair

A globally recognised pioneer of oligonucleotide therapeutics and RNA based drug development, with more than three decades of leadership spanning scientific innovation, biotechnology entrepreneurship and regulated clinical translation. Founder and President of ARNAY Sciences and founder of Idera Pharmaceuticals, where he served as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, President of Research and Chief Scientific Officer. He has advanced multiple candidates from discovery through clinical trials and FDA engagement, edited four authoritative books on oligonucleotides, published more than 300 papers, and is co inventor on over 400 patents. He is a Visiting Professor at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and a member of the Business Advisory Board for Harvard Medical School's Initiative for RNA Medicine.

Professor Marvin H Caruthers

Patron and Advisor

One of the most influential scientists in the field. He invented phosphoramidite chemistry, the method that underpins virtually all modern synthetic DNA and RNA manufacturing worldwide, transforming DNA synthesis from a specialised academic process into a scalable industrial capability. Co founder of Applied Biosystems and Amgen, Distinguished Professor Emeritus at the University of Colorado, and a recipient of the United States National Medal of Science. An inaugural Director of Syngenis, he became the company's Patron in 2025 and continues to guide DNA and RNA manufacturing standards, regulated laboratory design and long term platform strategy.
